Western Maine Forestry and Mulching
We assist land owners, non profits and trail clubs with all types of projects.
We help transform woodland to fields and farmland or open space. Most commonly we help bring back overgrown fields that have trees, bushes and alders overgrown to a clean and clear opening grinding everything down to bare soil where necessary. After we come in these fields can be maintained with bush hogs on tractors or sometimes even mowers.
We also have worked with snowmobile clubs to smooth out overgrown trails, making very quick and efficient trail maintenance. We can also grind away pesky stumps that snowmobile clubs groomers get hung up on. Our equipment can take trees down diameters as large as 20 inches or more, mulch the trees and then grind the stumps down afterward flush with the surface of the land. When the trees are smaller we can grind down the top couple inches of the soil, grinding up root and stem and mixing it back into the soil.
We also have experience in building brand new trails cut out of the countryside. We built Franklin County's first handicap accessible trail for the High Peak Alliance in Farmington. The trail is called the "Prescott Field Accessible Trail". If you had a wooded lot and wanted to cut new trails for walking, horseback riding, mountain biking, snowmobiling or most anything else, we can cut the trail for you through the countryside in record time.
If you think any of these specialties might be of help to a project you are considering, please feel free to reach out to us to talk about your project to see if we might be a good fit for your project!
